Weekend of musical entertainment set to grace Gatsbys Skyline for Manjimup residents and visitors alike

It is set to be a big weekend of entertainment at a Manjimup institution this weekend. Gatsbys Skyline on Brockman Street will again be the centre of the town’s nightlife, with two performances set to grace the venue’s stage. Friday night will see Perth band The Milkmen treat audiences to their blend of indie, acoustic rock. Drawing inspiration from a variety of musical acts including Coldplay, Oasis, Dave Matthews, The Beatles, Kings of Leon and Mumford & Sons, the band is promising “a captivating fusion that invites listeners into an authentic and engaging sonic experience”. The Milkmen started in the mid-2000s while its members were in uni, with the band led by frontman Conor Mcloughlin on vocals and acoustic guitar. He will be joined on stage by Elliot Careswell on bass and backing vocals, Marc Ryan playing lead guitar alongside backing vocals, and Max Carter on the drums. Saturday night will see another band grace the venue. iPhunk promise a mixture of funk, soul and Motown tunes, playing tunes from artists including Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Tom Jones and The Commodores. Doors open for both events at 7pm, with tickets prices starting from $26. Ticket sales can be made through Humanitix.
