It’s a Home and Away reunion!

Pretty much every character gets some air time including a few that have returned to face their problems, and there’s a lot of problems in Summer Bay.

First, Willow appears before Dean. It’s actually most convenient timing because Jasmine just lost her gym manager, Kieran, who took over from Willow in the first place.

But things don’t quite pick up where they left off for Willow.

She fled town last year after she “betrayed” - a word that gets thrown around a lot on this show - all her friends by ratting Colby to the cops.

Dean isn’t happy to see Willow, but it wouldn’t be Home and Away without a tense reunion before it’s more second chances and happy families again.

Bella also isn’t pleased to see Willow.

She slowly looks up from her phone to see Willow – the person who sent her brother to jail – in front of her.

Bella stands there stunned before she eventually comes out with a low “no”.

“Willow get away from me.”

“You destroyed him. You destroyed our family.”

The emotionally charged exchange continues until Willow gets the floor and says her bit to justify her existence.

“You’re still a traitor” Bella yells.

Willow reveals to Dean and Bella that she went to Rosetta when she knew she had to decide between Colby and Dean, and went with Dean.

Let’s not forget that Willow is the president of the Dean Thompson fan club and honestly why don’t they just get together.

Dean forgives Willow pretty much immediately and a few minutes later they’re having beers together.

But if Irene knows Willow – and she says she does – Willow is up to something.

Indeed!

Willow and Amber have been in cahoots.

The topic quickly turns to Jai.

For anyone who needs a reminder Amber turned up late last year and dropped and bombshell by telling Dean that they share a son, Jai.

Dean loves that little boy – that may or may not be his because he hasn’t done a paternity test – more than anything in the world but he was going through a lot with the pressure of hiding a murder and Amber deemed him not stable to be a parents and ripped the child from his life.

But now Amber wants to “sort it out” because “they owe it to their son”. And also Willow has told Amber about Dean’s involvement in the murder which makes his behaviour acceptable.

And so Willow has gifted Dean with the will to live after he has lost so much.

While Willow is on a roll she also sinks her teeth into Ziggy and tells her that she’s wasting time with Tane and should be with Dean.

But Zig holds her own.

“You don’t get to judge me for my decisions I didn't betray anyone,” Ziggy says.

While all of this is going on, Irene and Maz sit Martha down at the diner with a cup of tea – because tea is a sure way to fix everything.

It seems we’re in for the long haul with the Jas cam technique which indicates when Martha goes in and out of her delusional state just in case talking to herself wasn’t obvious enough.

Martha excuses herself for a stroll before dinner. She’s going to leg it.

It’s extremely dark and eerie.

“Whose there?” Martha says.

When a voice says “hey Ma”.

Martha turns around and it’s Kieran. I’m disappointed. Even when he’s not real he’s in the same corduroy jacket that he always wears.

Suddenly it’s bright as day and Martha is talking to Keiran again.

“Is it just me of did your mum seem a bit off,” Alf says to Roo.

Things continue in this manner for some time when Roo and Alf encourage Martha to speak to her counsellor.

“If you want do it for yourself will you do it for me, I need to know you’re ok,” Alf says to his wife.

It seems to get through.

But then Keiran appears again and tells Martha she’s not crazy but she says she will “keep playing the game” to get them off her back “and everything will be ok”.

She keeps up the charade and comes up with a few quick fire and convincing ways to justify her behaviour.

Roo doesn't’ trust her and opens her mums sketch book which reveals portraits of Keiran.

Mac and Ari are back from their weekend away that was meant to save their relationship.

“It has been so fun just us,” Mac says.

“Now everything is completely perfect.”

It’s too good to be true.

And it is, because Mia has a spare key to their house for some unforeseen reason and walks right in on an intimate moment.

She wants to use the washing machine of all things.

It spoils the mood and cocktail hour quickly turns to a large glass of water.

Ari “honesty doest’ know” how he feels about Mia and asks Mac for time to figure it out.

Mac begins to weep as she realises she has lost her man to another woman.
