Camera IconPerth cemented its position as the luckiest State in the country, as its premier social event was able to make a stunning return for 2020. Top business leaders, media personalities and socialites arrived in glamorous fashion to the Telethon Ball’s new home at Crown Towers Grand Ballroom to raise money for Telethon. Guests were welcomed by a beautifully decorated ballroom complete with chandeliers and a gin bar by Harvest Road. Mineral Resources’ Chris Ellison was the successful bidder on a Nobu dinner — with Australian Rules stars Luke Shuey, Nic Naitanui and Nat Fyfe — paying $11,000, and the prestigious Telethon wine collection fetched $110,000. Perth rockers Eskimo Joe ignited the dance floor performing their new track Say Something, for the first time live. “It’s the first time we’ve played to real people since 2019,” frontman Kav Temperley told the crowd. More than $3 million was raised for Telethon at the event. Pictured: Bruce Bellinge & Megan Wynne. Credit: John Koh/The West Australian
