Local golfers dominated on their home course at the Denmark Summer Golf Classic hosted by the Denmark Country Club last weekend.

Players from across the State descended on the Denmark fairways from as far north as Dongara, to Kulin and Hopetoun in the east, and Busselton in the west, all vying to win one of the most prestigious golfing events in the region.

The Denmark pairing of John Percival and Alan Johns were deserving winners of two-day 36-hole 4BBB Stableford competition on their home course.

Percival and Johns won the trophy with 88 points to defeat Denmark rivals Annette Harbron and Jane Dudley on 85 points in perfect weather conditions.
