Lake Grace is set for a community project cash boost.

The Lake Grace Community Men’s Shed, the Lake Grace Community Resource Centre and the Lake Grace Artists’ Group have been announced as recipients in the latest round of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal’s Tackling Tough Times Together funding.

The local Men’s Shed is set to get a $60,000 boost to build a second shed to double the group’s workspace.

More than $26,000 has been allocated to Lake Grace CRC to install outdoor gym equipment to promote fitness and encourage visitors.

Lake Grace Artists’ Group has received nearly $19,000 for new chairs, stools and tables to encourage more use of the community art space in town.

O’Connor MP Rick Wilson said the funding would help Lake Grace drive its recovery from the impacts of drought and COVID-19.

“The fact the Lake Grace community has achieved three of five grants awarded in WA reflects the resilience and creativity of the community,” he said. “The three projects will be delivered by very deserving community groups.”
