Six players from the Great Southern Cricket Association have been selected for the third edition of the Southern Smash to be played next month.

The draft for this year’s T20 tournament, to be held in Albany on December 28 and 29, was held at Inswing Sports Bar on November 15, and six out of the seven GSCA players who nominated went to a franchise.

Former Ireland international Jacob Mulder was snapped up as the No.1 pick by Elders Avengers in the draft.

Mulder, who played eight international T20 games and four one-day games before moving back to Australia, headlines a strong first round of draft picks.
