Clairvoyant told Perth lotto winners to ‘expect big windfall’

A Perth couple which won big playing lotto has confessed they purchased the winning ticket following guidance from a clairvoyant.

The couple was told by the psychic they would come into between $500,000 and $600,000, prompting them to have a crack.

But the crystal ball short-changed them more than $200,000, with their division one win in Saturday’s draw earning them $866,700.

The ticket was bought at Carramar Lottery Centre and News in Morley.

The incredible windfall came “totally out of the blue” and while you might have expected incredible celebrations, the couple admitted instead sitting “there like stunned mullets”.

Lotterywest spokesman James Mooney said winners often had their own unique tale.

“This week alone I’ve heard from a player who had their million dollar ticket in their glovebox for a month and another who has used the same numbers for 31 years,” Mr Mooney said.

There’s another chance for players to join WA’s 2020 winners list with tonight’s Powerball draw jackpotting to $20 million.

Tickets can be purchased until 6pm.
