The WA Department of Communities has been accused of failing to provide proper care to Aboriginal children with disabilities in out-of-home care, a Royal Commission has heard.

The national inquiry into violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of people with disability heard testimony on Tuesday from a Perth carer, who said doctors’ medical advice for her seven-year-old foster child was not followed by the Department and led to delays in diagnosis and treatment.
