From an incredible victory to a stunning draw, there was plenty to be impressed by during the fourth round of the 2022 AFLW season.

Margaret River’s Ella Roberts has continued to prove herself as a strong recruit for the West Coast Eagles with another fine performance in the Eagles’ 2.4 (16) to 1.3 (9) win over the GWS Giants on Saturday, the squad’s first-ever win in New South Wales.

In a perfect response to a disappointing outing against Essendon, the Eagles came from behind during the second quarter and led all the way through the second half to take the win.

Roberts, who was once again named among the Eagles’ best, put herself up for a mark of the year contender during the third quarter but ultimately hit the ground hard.

Despite the mark attempt leaving her dazed, Roberts finished with 12 disposals, three marks, three hitouts, four tackles and a behind.

Meanwhile, Fremantle found themselves denied their first win once again after Carlton stormed their way through the second half to a 5.2 (32)-all draw at Fremantle Oval on Saturday.

While the Dockers managed to build up an early lead, including a goal from Manjimup’s Dana East during the second quarter, Carlton came roaring back during the final term to bring the scores level.

Along with the goal, East finished with 11 disposals, a mark and four tackles.
