Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault head into the weekend’s clash with the Harvey Bulls looking to break their drought of derby success.

The Lions have not won a derby since the SWFL women’s inception in 2017, but will be on the hunt for four points when they host the Bulls on Saturday morning.

HBL are in eighth spot on the ladder with a single win over the Dunsborough Sharks and Harvey sit in fifth with wins over Bunbury and the Eaton Boomers.

Harvey were ruthless when the two sides last met in round 12 last year at Brunswick Oval, winning 13.11 (89) to 0.1 (1), having aleady beaten the Lions in similar fashion 7.6 (48) to 0.1 (1) in round three at home.

The Bulls will likely also head into the clash with a point to prove having gone down by less than a goal against Donnybrook last week 3.4 (22) to 2.6 (18), a game they had their chances to win and could rue as the season progresses.

Meanwhile, the Lions will head into the clash a little beaten up after being beaten by Bunbury — who sit second on the ladder — at the weekend 8.8 (56) to 0.2 (2).

The match is set for an early bounce down on Saturday at 9.40am at Brunswick Oval with a big local contingent a certainty and a mass of travelling fans expected to travel down the highway.
