Victoria records 980 new Covid cases
Victoria has recorded 980 new coronavirus cases and seven deaths.
The state's case numbers fell below 1000 after climbing throughout the week, taking Victoria's active cases to 15,433.
The Victorian government said that seven people died while there were currently 299 people hospitalised with the virus.
Of those patients, 40 people were in intensive care including 16 on ventilation.

On Saturday the state recorded 1365 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths.
Sunday's figure of 980 new cases was the first time the state's tally had fallen below 1000 since Monday.
