Spud King Tony Galati is about to unleash the “animal in him” when he goes up against three-time UFC World Champion Soa “The Hulk” Palelei in the boxing ring.

The Spudshed owner and his iconic eyebrows are taking part in The Corporate Boxing Event on Saturday night at Crown Perth for Strong Minds Strong Mines — an initiative of Macmahon Holdings that provides mining companies with the tools to improve the wellbeing of their staff.

In the exhibition boxing matches, nine Perth celebrities and chief executives — including Tony and his son, former model Frankie Galati, and Macmahon chief executive Michael Finnegan — take on professional boxers for a good cause.

“It’s so important, not only just eating healthy, but your fitness is very good on the mind as well,” Mr Galati said.

Each contender did 12 weeks of intensive training and will raise funds for a charity of their choice with part proceeds going to the WA School of Mines Alumni.
