The Prime Minister has broken his silence on reports Defence Minister Linda Reynolds called alleged rape victim Brittany Higgins a “lying cow”, a slur Ms Reynolds has not denied she made.

The PM has also weighed in on Attorney-General Christian Porter’s emotional address to the nation yesterday during which he categorically rejected claims he raped an unnamed woman in 1988.

Investigations into a shock light plane crash that claimed two lives in Exmouth are under way.

A prominent Perth businessman and philanthropist has accused Liberal powerbrokers Peter Collier and Nick Goiran of destroying the party, saying: “The Liberal party will be decimated to a degree that would have been unimaginable, in the past.”

PM breaks his silence on Reynolds’ ‘lying cow’ slur

Scott Morrison has broken his silence on reports Defence Minister Linda Reynolds called Brittany Higgins a “lying cow” and weighs in on the historic Christian Porter rape claims.

“She knows those comments to have been inappropriate and wrong,” Mr Morrison said.

“They were made in her private office in a stressful week. And they weren’t made in a public place. And nor were they intended for that.”

The revelations come after former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins claimed she was raped by a colleague in Senator Reynolds’ ministerial office in 2019.

‘Couldn’t run a corner shop’: Lib powerbrokers slammed

A prominent Perth businessman and philanthropist has savaged Liberal powerbrokers Peter Collier and Nick Goiran.

“The Liberal party will be decimated to a degree that would have been unimaginable, in the past,” he said.

“Now their puppet Leader suggests the voting public, should at least vote Liberal in the Upper House to stop Labor having unfettered control.

“That is code for: ‘We mean ourselves; Collier and Goiran.’ I would not trust either individual to run a corner shop!”

Rioli verdict: Two-year ban, 2021 return on cards

Willie Rioli is set to receive a two-year back-dated suspension, with a formal announcement expected this afternoon. It means the Eagle could return to action later this year.

The goalsneak received a provisional suspension days later as he became the target of multiple anti-doping investigations after allegedly tampering with a urine sample before also testing positive to cannabis.
