Socials from Outstanding Community Language Teacher of the Year Awards at the WA Museum
Community language teachers from across WA have been celebrated at an awards night honouring their passion and dedication.
The 2026 Outstanding Community Language Teacher of the Year Awards were held at Hackett Hall, WA Museum Boola Bardip.
Dr Themelina Paraskeva from the Greek Language and Culture Institute of Evangelismos was awarded Outstanding Community Language Teacher of the Year.
While the Emerging Community Language Teacher of the Year Award went to Mrs Thuy Thanh Tran from Hung Vuong Vietnamese School.
The evening was hosted by Community Languages Western Australia and the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport’s Office of Multicultural Interests.
