Nordic Film Festival

From sweeping landscapes to cultural insights into a world unknown, the best in new film from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden is running across select cinemas in Perth until August 16. As part of The 2026 Hurtigruten Nordic Film Festival a series of Nordic cinema will screen at Palace Cinemas Raine Square, Luna Leederville and Luna on SX, including the comedy/drama A Light That Never Goes Out (pictured) that charts the power of music and community.

Sheet Society x Peppa Hart

Popular Australian bedding brand Sheet Society has partnered with artist Sophie Bell, of Peppa Hart Love Club, and the result is an eclectic interior lover’s dream. Tones of warm chocolate, coral and dark berry are paired with Bell’s signature illustrations across the collection of sheets, duvet covers and cushions. Laneige

Lip balm girls and guys all know the feeling of finding an ultra-moisturising addition to their lip product rotation. A new contender from Korean beauty brand Laneige is about to enter the chat this week with a unique flavour — acai mango smoothie. Its sleeping mask ($33) is said to provide eight-hour hydration, while the glowy lip balm version ($28) gives a nice gloss for daytime applications. Zendaya

If red carpet method dressing was an Olympic sport, Zendaya would take home gold every time. The American actor has been bringing her fashion A-game to The Odyssey press tour, of which she plays the ethereal character of Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom and warfare. From the custom Louis Vuitton ensemble she wore to the Paris premiere earlier this month, to the breathtaking feather-filled Matieres Fecales number at the New York launch last week, her looks just keep getting better.

Expect the unexpected at this new restaurant in West Perth, with executive chef Samuel Ho blending the flavours of Asia with Japanese precision and European cooking technique across its menu designed to “surprise and delight”. Its take on the classic French tartare uses kangaroo with an egg yolk cream and hints of yuzu and wattleseed, while a blue swimmer crab comes with spirulina spaghetti, sea urchin, ice plant and saffron. It Could Have Been Her
