Former Channel Nine star Karl Stefanovic has offered three simple words to unnamed critics who have slammed him over his podcast: “Go f*** yourself”.

The curt retort comes as the ousted Today star continues his tour of the UK after a controversial interview with far-right activist Tommy Robinson ended his long-lasting TV career.

His podcast episode with the contentious UK figure in June resulted in major public backlash, with the episode pulled from streaming services and Channel Nine parting ways with him after more than two decades.

Appearing on a new episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the 51-year-old journalist defended his interview with Robinson and delivered a clear message to those who disagreed with the episode.

In a preview of the yet-to-be-released interview, the Australian broadcaster is seen addressing unnamed critics who targeted him in recent weeks.

“I’ve got too much to do . . . those people aren’t working in the industry anymore so they can . . . “ he began, before showing his two middle fingers to the camera.

The star revealed that he “really wanted to say it” and when prompted by host Piers Morgan, he didn’t hold back — telling the unnamed critics to “go f*** themselves”.

The edit of the interview does not give any context as to who Stefanovic might be referring to.

In a social media post, Morgan teased that the Australian personality’s interview would address his Channel Nine axing and his thoughts on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

The preview showed the duo discussing Albanese’s recent appearance on the Bush Deep podcast with comedian Nikki Osborne, with some of his comments sparking controversy across Australia.

In a now-viral video, the Prime Minister was asked to play the game ‘shag, marry, kiss’ with iconic Australian women Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, and Rhonda Burchmore.

The Labor leader said he would choose Minogue for “all of the above” if his marriage goes “tits up” — a remark he later stated he apologised “unequivocally” for after they became a key talking point among parliamentarians.

Morgan asked Stefanovic during the preview if he viewed the Australian Prime Minister’s podcast cameo as hypocritical, given his prior statements against the Karl Stefanovic Show.

“For a Prime Minister of a country like Australia to be as coarse as he was on camera about a national treasure like Kylie I thought was odd given what he’d said about you … How is that any different?” Morgan asked.

“No, that’s what stung most because I do think the only way through … discourse is the way through, and I think you’ve got to hear these voices, however you prosecute them and you prosecute like a wild man,” the Australian star replied.

“But I think that we’ve got to have a media landscape now that does present these stories — if you don’t like my show, then don’t watch, right?

“If you don’t like the interview then don’t watch. But I’m going to continue interviewing people because I want to hear what they’re made of, what makes them so popular, why they can be a driving force in places like the UK.”

Stefanovic’s full interview is expected to be released next week.
