Sea Change News and Gifts Dunsborough celebrate ‘deserving’ winner of division one Saturday Lotto ticket

The owners of a Dunsborough newsagency are “excited and happy” a deserving customer has shared in a division one Lotto prize. Sea Change News and Gifts sold a winning syndicate ticket for Saturday night’s $20 million superdraw which gave each ticketholder about $78,000. Owner Travis Fassom said the winner bought three tickets, with their total prize amount coming in at about $250,000. “We got a text message from Lotterywest informing us we had a syndicate division one winner,” he said. The winner, who wished to remain anonymous, is a single father and happened to snag the win just before Mother’s Day. Mr Fassom said he used his investigation skills to track down the winner, who he knows as a well-respected community member. “You could tell by the excitement in his voice,” he said. “He said ‘Travis, I was waiting for your phone call, waiting for you to ring, I won’. “I’ll just say he’s a good guy in the community and a well-deserved winner.” The Fassom family have owned the newsagency for more than 13 years. This is the fifth time the store has sold a division one ticket.
