WA Police officer charged with assault over woman’s arrest

A Perth police officer has been charged following an internal investigation into the arrest of a woman in January.

The constable has been charged with deprivation of liberty and assault over the incident and will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

He has been stood aside from operational duties.
