Emergency services at scene of e-bike crash in Claremont, teenager seriously hurt

A 14-year-old boy is in a serious condition in hospital after colliding with a car while riding his e-bike in Claremont.
Police, St John and a fire crew attended the scene just after 11am on Saturday following the crash on Stirling Highway near Freshwater Parade.
It is believed the teenager suffered serious leg injuries.
He was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital by paramedics under normal road conditions. His injuries are not life-threatening.
An all-black Land Rover Defender remained on the scene just after lunchtime, along with a wrecked e-bike in shrub nearby.
A single shoe was left upside down on the footpath and rubble that looked to be from the vehicle’s tyres was scattered on the road.
Neighbours believe the boy was trapped under the vehicle for quite some time.
Major crash detectives arrived just after midday.
