Rivervale fatal crash: Woman, 53, killed after car leaves road and crashes into home on Alexander Road

A woman has died after a car left the road and crashed into her house in Perth’s east overnight.

Police said the incident occurred about 11.40pm on Friday, when a yellow Ford Falcon sedan was travelling in a north-easterly direction along Alexander Road in Rivervale.

The vehicle left the roadway and collided with a nearby house, killing a 53-year-old woman who was inside the property at the time.

She died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 36-year-old man, and his 43-year-old male passenger were not injured in the crash.

The driver was arrested and is assisting police with their inquiries.

CCTV footage from a neighbouring property captured the moment the vehicle crashed into the home at 11.36pm.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam or mobile phone footage from the area at the time, to come forward.
