Husband charged with murder over woman killed by tractor slasher south of Brisbane
A man has been charged with murder after his wife was killed when she was run over by the slasher attachment of a tractor in an alleged domestic violence incident.
Emergency services were called after reports of a sudden death at an Undullah Rd property in Woodhill, near Beaudesert, south of Brisbane, about 9.30am on Thursday.
When officers arrived at the property, they found a 41-year-old Woodhill woman.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have charged a 44-year-old man, understood to be her husband, with domestic violence murder on Friday morning.
He was also charged with interfering with a corpse.
The man has been refused police bail and is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.
Paramedics found the woman with “significant injuries” after what was described as a “farm machinery incident”.
Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have since launched an investigation into the woman’s sudden death.
“A crime scene has been declared and investigations are underway,” Queensland Police stated.
It’s understood the property is a sugar cane farm.
