The Powerball jackpot will leap to an eye-watering $150 million jackpot after no one won Thursday night’s division one prize.

While no one in Australia had Thursday’s winning numbers, more than 424,000 WA winners claimed a prize across the other divisions.

One West Aussie with seven winning numbers was lucky enough to win the $132,040 division two prize.

While 33 locals with six winning numbers and the Powerball won $14,656 in division three.

While $150 million seems like an astronomical amount, it isn’t a record high for Powerball - the prize record was set at $160 million in October 2022.

Lotterywest Acting CEO Jeremy Hubble said next week’s Powerball draw will equal its second-biggest jackpot in the game’s history.

“This upcoming draw is a wonderful chance for players to join a syndicate, which means they can share the cost of a ticket and possibly the joy of a win,” Mr Hubble said.

Currently, Powerball holds the record for WA’s biggest win, which has stood since 2021, when a group of 55 women celebrated an $80 million Powerball prize.

If a single winning ticket from WA takes out next week’s draw, it will easily surpass 2021’s record.

Tickets for next week’s $150 million Powerball jackpot are available in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App until 6pm on Thursday.

The winning numbers were 21, 31, 17, 22, 20, 24, 34 and the Powerball was 6.
