One lucky West Aussie has the chance to take home Australia’s biggest Lotto win of all time ahead of tonight’s staggering $150 million Powerball draw.

The nation’s biggest lotto win currently stands at $107 million from a single winning entry in January 2019.

But if WA were to reel in tonight’s lucky ticket, it would almost double the State’s current lotto record.

“The state’s current prize record of $80 million, which was set in 2021 when a group of 55 gym ladies took home the entire Powerball jackpot,” Lotterywest Acting CEO Jeremy Hubble said.

Although the biggest jackpot of $160 million was won in October 2022, the winning ticket was split between three people from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia — meaning tonight’s win could be the biggest single win in Australia’s lotto history.

“Recent history has seen some of WA’s biggest wins come from a syndicate, which is always a wonderful experience to witness firsthand in the Lotterywest winner’s room,” Mr Hubble said.

Almost half of Australia’s adults are expected to have an entry in tonight’s Powerball with WA sales expected to peak this afternoon.

Tickets for the $150 million Powerball draw are available in-store, online and via the App before 6pm.
