Manjimup house destroyed by fire

A man has been rushed to hospital after a Manjimup home was destroyed by a fire this evening.

While the man was conscious when he was taken to hospital, his current condition is unknown.

Early reports are the man was the only one in the house.

The house was already ablaze when it was reported after around 4.50pm.

Firefighters were on scene within 10 minutes of the call out.

A witness said they heard no noise from the house except for the emergency services’ sirens.

The fire is under control and there is no threat to surrounding homes.

Firefighters from Manjimup and Bridgetown were still on the scene at 6.20pm.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
