Hundreds from across the State stormed the Narrogin track for the town’s biggest racing meet on Saturday that included the rescheduled 2026 Narrogin Cup. Locals, race-goers and punters enjoyed a day of glitz, glam, food, face paint and music at Narrogin Racing while admiring the horses during their parade lap before taking the course. Initially slated for March 28, the annual cup was postponed to April 11 due to the impact of tropical cyclone Narelle. Kyra Yuill rode Outspoken Lad to victory in the $70,000 Swan Draught Narrogin Cup (1900m) for city co-trainers Daniel and Ben Pearce. There was also plenty of action off the track. Dressed in a purple-flower-patterned dress with sparkling purple accessories to match, Bianca Borgas saw glory in Fashion on the Field, alongside runner-up Julie-Anne Grout donning a bright pink frock. Father and son duo Scott and Archie Franz received the men’s fashion top prize.
