Local businesses are being invited to have their say on the future of industrial land in Bridgetown, as the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes begins a needs analysis for the proposed light industrial area.
The proposal focuses on land near the Bridgetown Sports Ground, where a structure plan was adopted in 2012 to explore a dedicated industrial precinct.
While no decision has been made to proceed, the shire has engaged an external consultant to asses demand and determine whether further planning is warranted.
The study will asses the need for additional industrial land, preferred lot sizes and layouts and required infrastructure to support future growth.
Business owners, tradespeople, contractors and industry operators can complete a survey until July 24, or attend a workshop at Bridgetown Town Hall on August 3 from 5-6.30pm.
The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes said the feedback will help guide future economic development planning in the region.
