A crash has shutdown an arterial road between two major highways in the Great Southern.

Emergency services rushed to a crash on Menang Drive in McKail just before 6.30pm on Wednesday.

The collision, which happened less than 10 kilometres from the Albany town centre, has closed Menang Drive between Albany Highway and South Coast Highway.

Emergency services including police, firefighters, and St John ambulance crews remain on site.

It is unknown if anyone is injured at this stage.

Main Roads WA urged motorists to seek an alternative route.
