Motorists are facing frustrating delays across Perth after a series of crashes and emergency works disrupted traffic on some of the city’s busiest roads.

Guildford Road has been closed in both directions between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue in Maylands after a crash, with emergency works underway at the scene.

Incident response and Western Power are on site, with traffic already building on approaches to the closure.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use Whatley Crescent as an alternate route where possible.

A crash on Beeliar Drive westbound before the Kwinana Freeway at Atwell has blocked the left lane.

Towing services are at the scene and traffic is crawling through the area as motorists negotiate the lane closure.

Meanwhile, another crash is causing delays on the Kwinana Freeway northbound before Mill Point Road in Como.

The left lane has been closed, with motorists warned to expect slow traffic and allow for a safe merge approaching the scene.
