VideoIt should have been a weekend of family and celebration but instead it's been one of heartbreak. Four lives have been lost on WA roads - the latest in Como - where a car ended up wrapped around a tree.

A head-on crash in Perth’s southern suburbs has left a 21-year-old man fighting for life and several others in hospital.

WA Police say a silver Kia Ceranto hatchback was travelling north on Rockingham Road about 10.15am on Tuesday when it collided with a white Holden Colorado travelling in the opposite direction, near Hope Valley Road in Naval Base.

A 21-year-old passenger from the Kia was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the 18-year-old male driver was also taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The 55-year-old male driver of the Holden Colorado, and his 25-year-old female passenger were taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with minor injuries.

WA Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
