B52’s delivered a perfect round 13 in the pool, completing a clean sweep across all grades, as a club stalwart brought up the 300-game milestone.

The women’s A-grade set the tone on Friday night, with B52’s at their clinical best in a 14-3 win over a spirited Serpents outfit.

The ladder leaders struck early through Evie Prout in the opening minutes and never loosened their grip on the contest. Prout was in fine form throughout, supported by sister Opal and reliable scorers Tenielle Hawke, Aimee Hagan and Indi Smith.

Casey McCagh was outstanding in goals, the shot stopper keeping Serpents out of the scoring for long stretches.

Veteran Emma Smith was outstanding and continued her superb season with five goals and a defensive performance that shut down Serpents’ momentum before it could ever build. Smith read play beautifully and muscled her way through contests.

Serpents stayed competitive and entertaining, with Kalani Cotto and Grace Johnson providing plenty of spark.

Demons were ruthless in the women’s competition on Saturday, running away with an 11-0 win over Rats.

Maddy Marshall was exceptional, holding her own defensively and igniting multiple attacking movements. She was well supported by Billie Marshall, Abbie McDonald and Saskia Newman. Esta Penberthy was a highlight for Rats in a tough outing.

In men’s A-grade on Saturday afternoon, B52’s and Demons delivered another classic. B52’s edged home 4-3 in a match that was tight from start to finish. Scores were locked deep into the final stages before Mick Rock popped up with the matchwinner to keep B52’s on top of the ladder.

Both sides were outstanding defensively, refusing to allow any easy looks at goal. Ted Kerr, Joel Cross and Bruce McDonald scored for Demons, while B52’s celebrated a special milestone — with Kal Smith marking his 300th game in style.

The women’s B-grade side recorded a composed 6-2 win over Rats, as Michelle Prout controlled the match. Her daughter Opal backed it up with three goals against a competitive Rats side.

The trend continued in C-grade on Saturday morning, as B52’s also claimed a 6-2 victory over Demons Black, with Caitlyn Naisbitt strong in defence.

In the men’s divisions, B52’s claimed derby bragging rights against Relics, with a dominant 11-5 win. Callum Sojan and Ben Naisbitt led the charge, with Naisbitt a brick wall in defence.

The clean sweep was capped off in men’s C-grade, with B52’s defeating Serpents 8-5 in a disciplined and determined performance.
