More than 250,000 tulips and 50,000 spring bulbs will be in bloom at Araluen Botanic Park this spring.

But it looks like they will be in full colour later than usual.

Yates Springtime at Araluen Botanic Park is in September, and Araluen Botanic Park director Matt Lunn says that, while the tulips may bloom a little later in the year, there are so many varieties to enjoy while we wait. The gardens have displays of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, irises, jonquils, liliums and more.

This year, there will also be large artwork installations by local artist Walkers Steel Art, including a steel daffodil and daisy.

+ From September 5 to October 11, there will be food trucks, including The White Rabbit Fusion Food and Ice Cream Cart and Ministry of Food.

+ There will also be live music throughout September and until October 11.

+ Chalet Healy Cafe will open in early September, for dine-in or takeaway food.

+ Cabernet & Canvas will offer step-by-step “paint and sip” art classes.

+ Matt acknowledges the work of volunteers who have spent their winter supporting gardening staff, planting thousands of bulbs.
