Logies 2026 live updates: Robert Irwin, Sam Pang, Poh Ling Yeow among Gold Logie nominees

Travel Guides is an audience fave, and this is the fifth year in a row they have won in their category.

The “elders of the business” (their words not mine) are up presenting an award.

They can’t see, apparently, so Robert Irwin is up to help...and no one seems to know what is happening.

The wheels are falling off.

Another win for Goolagong!

Lila just won for playing Evonne Goolagong Cawley, and now the show has won, too.

Wayne Blair and Luke Caroll are up on stage with “the Evonnes” and the producer, as well as Lila and little Eloise, who can we just say stole the show when she was presenting.

This is a great win.

Shane Jacobson is talking about “a bunch of cuts...” HAHAHA!

That might be the best line of the night so far.

Lila played Yvonne Goolagong in the telemovie - and she was terrific.

She is also nominated for Best Lead Actress In A Drama.

Robert Irwin might too nice a young man to go too hard in his opening monologue, the ceremony’ producers left that up to comedian Urzila Carlson and presenter Guy Montgomery.

The pair were a sharp presence on stage as they fully embraced their roles as roasters-in-chief, taking aim at Australia’s increasingly heated immigration debate (“we find ourselves in a united country that celebrates immigration in all its various forms”) before a sarcastically delivered assessment of the TV industry.

“Tonight is about celebrating the thriving industry of broadcast television, an industry in rude health, while tech companies, social media platforms and streaming platforms owned by oligarchs continue to lose the battle for our attention and advertising dollars,” Montgomery jibed.

“Terrestrial television, hold steady, stand above the parapet, secure in the knowledge nothing can take this empire down!”

Jokes at Stefanovic’s expense was not about to be confined to the opening monologue. Carlson quipped, “Is it just me or do you think Karl Stefanovic has not been the same since he got the Covid vaccine?”.

But a confused Charlie Pickering could be seen on camera reacting with the words “What did I do?!” when he was lumped in with Stefanovic and the also absent Kyle Sandilands after it was suggested on stage that he change the spelling of his first name with a K so he could “round out the KKK of true blue Aussie blokes, good on you, we love you, Aussie blokes”.

Pickering may have forgotten – or perhaps prefers to forget – the incident earlier this year when he engaged with well-known far-right agitator Avi Yemini when he described as “problematic” the hiring of former Australian of the Year Grace Tame to co-host a podcast about autism. He later claimed he had been ambushed.

They are presenting The Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent.

They appear to have swapped roles.

Ally took out the inaugural Ray Martin award last year - and shes up for Gold later this evening.

“This month I have been at Channel Nine for 25 years,” she says.

Robert Irwin has taken out Most Popular Presenter award.

It’s his first ever Logie.
