Five Broome businesses and organisations selected as WA Regional Business Excellence Awards finalists

The Kimberley’s business prowess is set to take centre stage at the Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry WA’s upcoming Regional Business Excellence Awards with several Broome businesses selected as finalists. Leading the pack is Broome Weddings and Events which has secured three nominations, vying for the 1 to 5 Employees award, the Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality award and the Excellence in Environmental Sustainability award. They are joined by Broome’s iconic Roebuck Bay Hotel, which has been shortlisted for both the Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality award and the 21 Plus Employees category. Willie Creek Pearls has also been recognised, being selected as a finalist for Excellence in Environmental Sustainability award. Beyond the commercial sector, Djarindjin Aboriginal Corporation and Garnduwa Amboorny Wirnan are both contending for the Excellence in For Purpose award. RCCIWA chief executive Kitty Prodonovich said the organisation was “incredibly excited” for this year’s awards night. “Now in its third year, this prestigious annual event recognises, rewards and celebrates WA’s incredible regional businesses and their supporters,” she said. “The WARBEA’s are an event of regional significance, shining the light brightly on WA’s regional businesses who have all achieved success in their local awards program, on a Statewide stage. “The gala night also affords an incredible connection opportunity for RCCIWA members, key regional stakeholders and organisations with a genuine commitment to growing regional business and broader communities.” The winners of the awards will be announced at a gala event on April 18 at the Pan Pacific in Perth.
