A weekend with the lot coming up
Foodies and gourmands alike will descend on Manjimup this weekend for the 9th annual Truffle Kerfuffle.
This year’s Winning Appliances and Asko Truffle Kerfuffle includes special guests such as chefs Pete Evans, Aaron Carr and Poh.
Other high profile guests include Paul Iskov, Amy Hamilton, Nicole Bampton and Russell Blaikie.
From cooking demonstrations, truffle hunts, exclusive dinners, cocktail parties and beer and wine master classes, there will be plenty for people to experience across Friday to Sunday.
All this and more will be available at the festival venue at Fonty’s Pool.
Truffle Kerfuffle secretary Celia Cousin said there was a lot to look forward to at this year’s event.
“I think there’s a great line-up this year with a variety of chefs,” she said.
“There’s plenty going on in the festival village and stallholder numbers are slightly up on last year.”
Mrs Cousin also said the Truffle Kerfuffle was a good way for the community to celebrate the food and wine from the region.
“It’s special for the local community to showcase what we’ve got.” Events are already selling out at the Truffle Kerfuffle and people need to buy tickets.
While several truffle hunting experiences have already sold out, there are still plenty of opportunities throughout the Manjimup region.
People wanting to get up close and personal with chefs such as Amy Hamilton, Pete Evans or Poh will have the chance at cooking demonstrations or lunch and dinner events with them as the featured chefs.
