Birthday celebration takes flight
Manjimup Aero Club turns 50 next week and members are inviting the community to help celebrate.
Guests are expected to fly in from across other flying organisations and clubs and people will be given the opportunity to view different planes and even go for flights or pilot a plane.
Manjimup Aero Club president Bruce Ward said there would be various models of planes visiting for the 50th anniversary.
“We’re hoping for some bizarre varieties,” he said.
The celebration will also have food and drinks available and a visual display about the history of the club.
Mr Ward also thanked the Manjimup Shire Council for its grant for the anniversary.
The event will be held at the Manjimup Airport from 9am to 3pm on November 23.
