Bowls teams to vie for top corporate spot

Bowls enthusiasts are being encouraged to register for the annual Manjimup Corporate Bowls tournament at the Manjimup County Club.

The Manjimup Mitre 10 and Retravision competition kicks off on February 1 and 2 and runs for four weeks, with the finals and grudge match on March 2.

A minimum of four people are required for each team and registration forms can be obtained from the Manjimup Visitors Centre.

Teams can choose their preferred night of Wednesday or Thursday at 6pm.

A sausage sizzle will be provided each night and selection of prizes will also be up for grabs, including a Weber barbecue, which will raffled each week.

Bridgetown Bowling Club is also calling for registrations for its annual corporate bowls tournament which starts next month.

The competition is the club’s main fundraiser and it will be held on Tuesday nights from February 7, starting at 7pm.

To register for the Bridgetown corporate bowls tournament call Murray Waters on 9761 1543 or Shirley Streeter on 0429 808 833 by Friday, February 3.

For the Manjimup tournament, teams must be nominated by January 27 and forms should be emailed to John Ryan at lynjohnryan@bigpond.com.au, faxed to 9771 8082 or posted to PO Box 172, Manjimup 6258.
