The line-up of the musicians set to feature at the 36th annual Boyup Brook Country Music Festival have been announced as the event looks to bounce back after being canned in 2021 because of COVID-19. Artists unveiled this week included The Little Lord Street Band, Codee-Lee, Honky Tonk Heroes, JoKeria and Connie Kis Andersen. Boyup Brook Country Music Club project officer Daly Winter said the club was “excited” the music festival was approaching and was hoping nothing would stop the festival from going ahead. Mr Winter said the festival presented the opportunity for people to see a popular South West event and experience all the great things the region has to offer. “It is the opportunity to head down to the beautiful South West, it is a beautiful place if you have not been to Boyup Brook before,” he said. “We hope to put on what is the best the biggest line up of WA country music artists ever seen in the State next year.” Mr Winter said the Boyup Brook Country Music festival was unrivalled in the talent they put on stage during the concerts. “It is going to bring the cream of WA country music artist next year,” he said. Mr Winter said the entire weekend featured events worth seeing including the Western Australian Country Music Awards being presented on the opening day, a massive street carnival on Saturday with stalls, musicians and the Boyup Brook ute and truck muster. He said the music virtually did not stop from the Friday night through to “late” on Sunday afternoon. “The main Streets of Boyup Brook are closed off and a big carnival with markets and buskers and circus entertainers,” he said. “That leads us down to the music park where we will have virtually entertainment from midday through to midnight.” Mr Winter said the community camping could act as a “base” for people who wanted to spend the full festival in the lower South West town and it would be the perfect present for music lovers. “If you are looking for a Christmas gift, now is the time to give them something that they have never experienced before,” he said The Boyup Brook Country Music Festival is scheduled to take place from February 18 to 20, 2022.
