It is lights, camera and action at the Bridgetown theatre this weekend as the pantomime The Wonderful Wizard of Oz looks to light up the stage. The show has performed in front of three packed out audiences already and will have its final shows this weekend to close out 2021. Production director Margaret Korver said she was pleased with the turnout for the first three shows and thought the cast was doing an excellent job. “It has been a great turnout all three nights,” she said. “They have been rehearsing since the 22nd of August, the objective of the rehearsal is to get everybody comfortable on stage before the actual performance and yeah they did awesome.” Ms Korver said she chose The Wonderful Wizard of Oz because she wanted to put on a show that would lift people’s spirits. “(The audience) get that warm, fuzzy feeling,” she said. “They get blown away by the costumes, the lights, the colours,” she said.
