Manjimup Target and the Manjimup Community Resource Centre are joining forces to raise money for people in need this festive season.

The annual Christmas Appeal to raise money for Uniting Care is now on in store and at the CRC.

Manjimup Target manager Jason Treasure said as part of this year’s campaign, there was a greater focus on financial donations instead of donations of gifts.

“Even though it looks like we’re not set up for gift donations, we will happily accept them,” he said.

This year’s appeal involves customers buying baubles for $1, which will be displayed in the store, or people can take them home.

All money raised from the appeal goes to Uniting Care and Mr Treasure said the aim was for the money to be used locally.

The 2018 appeal raised $2200.

“Our store has been in the top 10 regional Target stores for money raised for a few years now,” Mr Treasure said.

It is the third year the Manjimup CRC has been involved with the appeal and is also a donation point.

“This appeal is about supporting families in need,” Mr Treasure said.
