The annual Deanmill Log Chopping competition was held on Saturday, in cold and rainy conditions, featuring competitors from Harvey, Collie, Perth and even New Zealand, for a day full of entertainment.

The event included six different woodchopping competition categories, a bouncy castle and an ice-cream truck for kids, performances from the Southern Forests Bootscooters in between competitions, and marron races after presentations.

The day had two father-and-son pairings — Joe and Zayden Thomas and Ethan and Brett Reynolds — and a grandfather, father and son trio competing — Steve Rees Sr, Steve Rees Jr and Rex Rees.
