A local resident has taken it upon himself to restore a piece of history from a Manjimup long since gone. John Barber organised for the Cosy Creek Road street sign, which he estimated to be nearly 100 years old, to be remade and donated to the Manjimup Motorcycle Club last week. The sign was donated to the group because the Manjimup motocross track is known as the Cosy Creek circuit. Mr Barber met club representatives Bevon and Shane Blakers in front of the tree where the old street sign once hung for the handover. Mr Barber said he helped co-ordinate the restoration because he felt towns should protect and cherish their history. The combined signs are hung in the clubrooms of the Manjimup Motorcycle Club.
