A juniors football registration fun day was held at the Imperials Football Club on March 29 to encourage children to sign up and participate in the upcoming football season. The fun day included a giant water slide that was spread across the oval, a bouncy castle little kids could jump on, several football exercises and games that kids could participate in and a sausage sizzle for all attending. Kids were also registering for Auskick Football, for ages 5 to 12, Starkick, for boys and girls between 5 to 17, and the junior football season as well, and trying on football uniforms. Imperials Football Club Juniors president Michael Mayers said the day was to give back to the children in the community. “It’s important for all kids to play all community sports, not just football, and it’s important to get them out and about and get them into the club atmosphere,” he said. “As long as we can make it fun as possible for the kids and make them feel included as well, it’s important to bring football for all junior ages and make everyone feel welcome and wanted.” The Imperials Junior Football Club will start their 2023 football season on April 29.
