Father Christmas dropped into the Lower South West ahead of his busy weekend to get some climbing practice at Diamond Tree on Friday.

He said he was getting in some last-minute exercise before he travelled around the world and had to climb in and out of chimneys.

“It’s also a good idea to get used to the Australian heat after months of the North Pole cold,” he said.

Father Christmas popped into Manjimup on December 9 for the Festive Family Fun Night.

“I really enjoyed myself, it was wonderful to see so many wonderful children,” he said.

“I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

He also said he still had to check his lists twice, so he hoped children behaved themselves.

“I have a busy weekend ahead of me, so I’ll also be looking forward to some milk and cookies,” he said.
