Lemon Myrtle has zest for music

Manjimup singer-songwriter Hannah Styles did her home town proud when she was unveiled as the Triple J Unearthed feature artist last week. The 21-year-old, who goes by stage name Lemon Myrtle, was featured as part of the digital Triple J station, which focuses on promoting up-and-comers in the music industry from around the nation. As part of the feature, Styles was interviewed and had her new single, White Walls, and 2020 EP, The Dentist, played throughout the week. Styles said the whole experience was “trippy” for her. She said she was grateful for the recognition and keen to see how her future would look. “I don’t really know how to feel about it because I’m not sure where I want to go with it yet, so I think that’s why,” she said. “I’d love to do a couple more singles and then maybe release an EP later on in the year. “It is something I want to keep doing but I’m pretty cruisy. I don’t want to be a full-time artist or do touring. “It’s all still really new and I’m experimenting with what I want to do.” Styles will perform at the upcoming Nannup Music Festival, which runs from February 26 to March 1.
