LSWFL leading goal-kicker Patrick Farrant links up with Collingwood’s reserves squad

The Lower South West Football League’s 2023 leading goal-kicker is a chance to wear one of the most famous football jumpers in the country this season. Patrick Farrant, who booted 107 goals in only 16 games for Bridgetown last season, has linked up with Collingwood’s reserves squad. The 24-year-old played in a VFL practice game for the Magpies against Richmond’s reserves last week, booting three majors. After a dominant debut season with the Bulldogs, Farrant moved to Victoria to join the Fitzroy Stars in the Northern Football Netball League. Former Melbourne defender Neville Jetta, who now works as a development coach at the Magpies, also joined the club over the summer, creating a Collingwood connection. Farrant’s departure will leave Bridgetown, who finished on top of the ladder last season but suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss to Kojonup in the grand final, with a major hole in their forward line.
