Manjimup Timberwolves bring home two titles from Basketball WA Country Championships

A pair of teams representing the Manjimup Timberwolves brought home titles from the Basketball WA Country Championships last month. The Timberwolves’ under-13 boys side and under-18 girls team came out on top in division three of the competition. The girls side won their title with a six-point grand final win over Busselton Blazers, with Taizley Krispyn saving her best performance at the carnival for the biggest stage, leading the way with 16 points. An 11-point win over Margaret River was the boys’ closest winning margin over a dominant weekend. Their medal haul was ensured with a 12-point grand final victory over Northam, with Flynn Markotis (13 points), Braxton Bachos and Chace Watson (both 10) all scoring in double figures. The association sent 10 junior teams and two senior sides to the six-week carnival.
