Manjimup Marlins swimmers set 15 personal bests at the Harvey Open Carnival 2020 at the weekend.

Eight members of the junior swimming club attended the competition.

While there were no medal wins among the Manjimup cohort, there were eight female personal bests and seven male personal bests during the event.

The eight swimmers participated in 28 swims across the event.

Jack Perry made a massive personal best for the 100m breaststroke final with 1min. 40.1sec., improving on his previous record by 20.55sec.

Willow Collins, Peri Dronow, Erica Pearce, James Porter, Ryan Porter and Stephanie Sperrer all recorded new personal bests across at least half of their swims.

Manjimup Marlins coach Pauline Collins thanked the swimmers for their dedication.

“All the swimmers put in a fantastic effort, they totally put in 100 per cent,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to the next meet in March.”
