The fourth round of the Motorsport Australia Rally Championship will be in the South West, which will have spectators and competitors flocking to the Southern Forests for the Karri Rally. The Karri Rally will feature 40 competing duos - including 34 state championship contestants and four clubman masters and cup competitors - driving through the Manjimup area on Saturday afternoon. The rally will run from 1pm to 5pm through the Southern Forests, along Perup Road and the Muir Highway, with a special spectator stage at the Motocross Track in Cosy Creek from 2pm to 4pm, which will allow fans to have a closer look at both the main rally and the special stage. Rose Street will act as the main service park, with the road being blocked off from the end near Mount Street to near Brockman Street, for incoming and outgoing rally drivers to rest, refuel and regroup before starting up again. WA’s Daniel Gonzalez and his co-driver Bernie Webb from NSW lead the Dunlop WA Motorsport Australia Rally Championship with 265 points after the third round in Grimwade, having previously placed first at the Forest Rally held in Nannup earlier this year. WA’s Craig Rando and his co-driver Scott Beckwith are second on 183 points. The fifth round of the Championship will take place in Chidlow for the Safari Rally on September 30, before concluding in Collie on October 28 with the Experts Cup.
