A 25-year-old Perth woman is lucky to be alive after rolling her car on Monday with an alleged blood alcohol content almost five times the legal limit.

Police reported the woman recorded a reading of 0.229 after her car crash just before 7am.

The crash occurred on South Western Highway near Yornup.

“It’s a miracle this crash was not a fatality,” Bridgetown police said in a Twitter post.

“Don’t wait until this is you, drinking and driving is never a good idea. Arrive alive.”

Volunteer emergency services freed the woman from her car before she was rushed to Bunbury Regional Hospital.
