In the last round of the Manjimup Amateur Basketball Association for 2021 there were some close ties and big victories across the men’s and women’s competitions. Starting in the women’s AR/B division, the Panthers defeated the Magpies Light Blue side by 22 points, winning 47-25. The Magpies Orange team did not fare any better against the Mystics after losing by six points, 33-27. The Senators Maroon/Yellow came away 30-24 winners in their match with the Diamonds. The Senators Blue/Green also won, defeating the Aus Stars Green 30-21. The Bush Chooks lost to the Slam Dunks 27-18 while the Saints enjoyed a big win over the Aus Stars Purple after winning 40-25. In the women’s A grade, the Comets comfortably beat the Aces 50-39 while the Pink Ladies eased past the Vipers 39-20. The men’s bracket featured a forfeit after the Giants could not muster the players to take on the Wolfpack. The Warriors battered the Yabbies in a one-sided tie which ended 64-30. The Cobras held the Dingos at bay with a 51-40 victory while the Hawks A team soundly beat the Imperials 58-41. The Hawks B did well against the undefeated Barracudas only losing by 11 points, 50-39. The Raiders came from behind to beat the Spoonbills 46-38. The season starts again in the week commencing January 31.
